The Salvation Message

  • Do you want to know how to get saved? I will tell you;

This is the A B C's of salvation.
A: Admit. (Admit that you are a sinner.)
B: Believe. (Believe that the Lord died on the cross and that He died for you because He loves you so much.)
C: Call. (Call upon the name of the Lord and thou shalt be saved.)
The A B C's of Salvation are very easy to understand. I'll tell you the story of Calvary. I'll make it like a story.

Jesus saw the Romans all around him, spitting at him and pulling at his beard. He looked sorrowfully at them and said a prayer up to God in Heaven. One Roman soldier prodded him over to a big palace were the door was opened. Inside, Pilate waited for him. He placed a crown of thorns on Jesus' head. "You are a king, or so you say, so you shall have a crown and a robe."
Pilate then put a purple robe around Jesus' shoulders. He and a soldier pushed Jesus out onto a balcony above crowds of people yelling and shouting up at him.
"Who shall you have die?" Pilate shouted. "A murderer, or this man, Jesus!"
Another man had been put out with Jesus. He was a murderer, but the people wanted to crucify Jesus instead!
The people answered without hesitation. "Crucify Jesus! Crucify him!"
Hearing their answer, Pilate nodded to a soldier who pushed Jesus inside the palace again. Jesus stumbled down the stairs and out the door that led outside. A soldier thrust a heavy, wooden cross at Jesus. "Put it on your shoulders." he grumbled. Jesus hefted the cross onto his thin shoulders. Pilate had rounded up a small army of soldiers. Now, they were behind Jesus, yelling at him and prodding him with the butt of their spears. Jesus thought it seemed to last forever. Then, finally, they reached the hill. On top of it,two crosses smaller than Jesus' sat. On them, two ragged, dirty men hung. Pilate signaled to three, brawny soldiers. They nodded and pushed Jesus down on the splintery cross. Then one of them lifted the biggest nail Jesus had ever seen. But the soldier lifted it slowly, as if challenging Jesus to look at the sharp end. It was torture. The soldier pulled a huge hammer out of the second one's hand. He placed the tip of the nail in the center of Jesus' palm. Jesus closed his eyes and waited. The soldier lifted the hammer. Jesus tried to pray. Then the blow came. The nail plunged down into His hand. He cried out in pain. The same thing was repeated two times as another nail went into His other hand and then His feet. Pilate nodded again. This time five soldiers came forward. They proceeded to lift the cross and stick it in the ground.

Four hours later, Jesus was still on the cross, in agony. A sympathetic soldier pierced Him in the stomach to make his death faster. Mary, Jesus' mother, stood at the foot of the cross, sobbing her heart out. Just before he died, Jesus called out,"Father forgive them, for they know not what they do!"

If you want to read the complete story of Jesus on the cross, go to the Bible and read Matthew 27, found in the New Testament.
