From: Missionaries in Vanuatu, the Gibbs, Prayer Update

1.  Pray for a venue for the USP Christian fellowship camp to be held on the first weekend in June.
2.  Pray for suitable arrangements for our house and car while we are in the States as well as people to help with ministries while we are away (June-January).
3.  Pray for the Sunday school training that I will be running on April 16.  Two Sundays ago I announced that if anyone wanted to teach Sunday school and needed some help learning how that I would be glad to help them.  After the service Talita approached me in answer to my announcement.  The Lord had already pointed her out to me as a possibility and so I had been praying specifically that the Lord would lay that burden on her heart.  Both Talita and I were thrilled to witness God at work in that way.  Along with Talita there are about seven others who want to learn how to teach Sunday school.  I am praising the Lord for this open door.
4.  Steve and Jimmy Kalo will be visiting Tongariki from Friday to Tuesday.  Steve will be preparing the way for a rainwater tank to be installed on the island.  This trip gives him a great opportunity to increase his knowledge of island life and protocols while strengthening relationships.  The tank is a project of Rotary International.
5.  Shelley is looking much better and hopes to be out of hospital before too much longer.  Her lifestyle and diet will be fairly restricted with her illness, but at least she is smiling again.  Continue to pray for spiritual light for her soul.
6. I (Jane) will have to travel to Sydney some time in the next two months to get my visa to visit the US from the embassy in Sydney.  Pray for wisdom as travel decisions are made and a smooth visa process.
7.  Pray for the Bible studies on Wednesday morning (ladies) and evening (USP) as well as the men's study on Thursday evening.
8.  Steve's preaching club on Thursday mornings has some of the men fired up about studying and preaching God's word.  Pray for fruit that remains, that the Word of God will prosper and have free course.
9.  Steve is preparing to teach theology and hermeneutics to a group of ni-Vanuatu translators in May.  Pray for his preparations.  Teaching these translators has the potential to reach a lot of people as these are the ones translating the Scriptures into their local languages.
10.  Our annual visit from our BMW area director and his wife (Bill and Deborah Lake) has blessed us as always.  Pray for the Lakes as they continue visiting missionaries in the south Pacific region.

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.  Colossians 1:28-29
