Prayer update from Martha Cochran, missionary to Japan

Praises
  • Pastor and Mrs. M  had a safe trip to Myanmar to attend the graduation ceremonies at Canon Theological Seminary. (Pastor M. is the pastor that preaches at the church Miss. Martha goes to.
  • A Junior high girl passed her entrance examinations to the high school of her first choice.
  •  K. san is gradually recovering from the loss of her baby.  Please continue to pray for her.  She came to church for the first time on Sunday.
  • Y. san is back in the Nagareyama ladies’ meetings and church services on the third Sunday of each month, after recovering from cancer surgery.  Last week she also made the trip to the main church, 1 ½ hours away.  She was able to be a good testimony several times while in the hospital.
  • Ma, son of the lady I wrote about in my GFA article on discipleship, survived the earthquake in Sendai and is now in an evacuation facility.  He is a college student.

 Prayer:
  •     Pray for those in our church that need jobs.
  • Pray for the family of an 84 year old man who passed away recently. I am not completely sure if he was saved, but I feel some confidence.
  • I was recently in a car accident. Thankfully, no one was hurt but some problems with insurance are not going well.
  • Last, but not least, pray for the people who's homes were damaged during the earthquake and tsunami. I thought I was going to die there, on the 11th floor of a department store. I did hear, however, that someone in our church lost two family members. Please pray for her.
